We are based in Eugene, Oregon and participate in searches all over the Pacific Northwest. We are comprised of Certified Search and Rescue handlers, certified K9s, K9s in training, and support staff. We work in tandem with Lane County Search and Rescue. All of our services are conducted through the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
Core Values
Pacific Northwest Search Dogs was created to provide the Lane County Sheriff’s office with K9 teams available for use in search and rescue to find and recover lost subjects. To accomplish that goal, PNWSD will facilitate the training of K9 handlers and support members throughout the Pacific Northwest. PNWSD will strive to promote accountability and professionalism among K9 teams in Search and Rescue. PNWSD will also work to educate the public on search and rescue activities.
About Search and Rescue
Search and Rescue is a rewarding experience. Although it can be a lot of fun, there is a lot of commitment and training involved. K9 handlers need to have time to dedicate to the team and a heart to serve. Inquire with your county for more information.
